YOU DON’T HAVE TO KNOW ALL THE ANSWERS

I have been in business for over 40 years. The single most powerful lesson I ever learned in my life is that I don’t have to know all the answers. I thought I had to know all the answers because I was running the business. I wish in that time I sought the help of a coach.

FEELING ALONE

Running a business can be a lonely one. At times I felt very alone. I wished I had someone to talk to who was not connected to my business. Someone who was there for me listened to me without judgement, cared about me and my success, someone to challenge and hold me to account when I was not following through on my goals and outcomes. I wished I had a coach,

GET CURIOUS?

Sometimes we can’t see the business for the trees! We are so busy working in our business we forget about working on our business. As a coach, I’m curious to explore and observe how you operate in your business. I’m not here to tell you how to run your business; you are the expert in that field. But sometimes we lose faith and direction; that’s where I can help you as a coach. I’m not your accountant or bank manager. They are experts in what they do, and I am an expert in coaching.

WHAT IS IT YOU WANT?

Honestly, at times in my business, I had no idea what I wanted. I knew that I didn’t want financial advice from my accountant. What I wanted was someone unbiased and independent; someone who raised my awareness, that brought into focus something that was in my blind spot and shone a light on it. Someone who had my business and wellbeing at heart. I needed a coach.

JARGON

I’m not the type of coach who uses blue sky jargon or long, meaningful descriptions or complex analysis to explain something that can be described in one sentence or even one word. I remember being told when I was qualifying for my coaching diploma to stop describing coaching and be a coach. Simple isn’t it when someone else can see what you can’t see. That is what a coach can do.
